Fill the Gaps in Your Collection
with the 1962-64 Airmail Stamps

With one convenient order, you can get all six Airmail stamps issued from 1962 to 1964 and save money.  You’ll get both 8¢ U.S. Capitol and Jet Airliner stamps and the 6¢ Bald Eagle stamp, issued to meet the new postal rate.

Set also includes the 15¢ Montgomery Blair stamp.  Blair called the first International Postal Conference in Paris in 1863, and it became the forerunner of the Universal Postal Union.  Blair put into effect the Railway Mail Service in 1862 and a Postal Money Order System in 1864.

You’ll also get the 8¢ Amelia Earhart stamp.  In 1937, Earhart began a 27,000-mile around-the-world flight with Fred Noonan.  By late June, they had completed the next-to-last leg of their journey.  Radio contact with her plane was lost in July and neither the bodies nor the plane were ever found.  Their fate remains one of the greatest mysteries in U.S. history.

Plus you’ll get the 8¢ Robert H. Goddard stamp.  Dr. Robert Hutchins Goddard is the American physicist who is regarded as the “father of the modern rocket.”  In 1926, he developed and launched the first successful liquid-fuel rocket.  He directed research for the Navy in World War II.
