Yosemite, located in California, is shown on the ninth installment of the Scenic American Landscapes Series. This stamp satisfied the international letter rate in 2006. Yosemite is best known for its spectacular waterfalls, giant sequoia groves, and granite cliffs. Yosemiteâs granite formation âEl Capitanâ was featured in the 1934-35 National Park Series stamps.

Start Of Scenic American Landscapes Series
These stamps are part of the Airmail series. Airmail as its own separate service came to an end in 1977. After that time, airmail stamps were issued to pay international rates. After 1995, the USPS called these âinternational-rate stamps,â though they still said âAirmailâ on them.
