Own the Complete 1990-93 Commemorative Airmail Set

Get the complete six-stamp set of Commemorative Airmails from 1990-93 and save time and money.  Part of the America series, the 45¢ Tropical Coast stamp features a Caribbean island beach like that discovered by Columbus.  Another stamp in the America series shows what the Bering Strait, which linked Siberia and Alaska, may have looked like to Asians crossing it thousands of years ago.

Also included is one of the few Airmail stamps honoring a woman.  Harriet Quimby was the first American woman to receive a pilot’s license and the first woman to fly the English Channel solo.  Set also includes a stamp honoring William T. Piper, designer of the popular Piper Cub plane.  He was called the “Henry Ford” of aviation for developing and promoting low-cost aircraft.

The 50¢ Antarctic Treaty stamp commemorates the treaty’s 30th anniversary.  This treaty, which went into effect on June 23, 1961, demilitarized the continent of Antarctica and preserved it for scientific research.
