On the night of December 16, 1773, a group of American colonists called the Sons of Liberty dressed as Native Americans and dumped chests of British tea into Boston Harbor to protest the tax on the tea levied by England.  This Artcraft cover honors the bicentennial of that event and features stamp #1480, one of a set of four stamps issued in 1973 depicting the Boston Tea Party.
