This First Day Cover features the 1992 Science and Technology for Development stamp (UN#612).  The stamp honors the first meeting of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, which took place in April 1993.  The commission replaced the Intergovermentla Committee on Science and Technology for Develpment.  A subsidiary of the Economic and Social Council, the commission gathers information on the use of technology to aid in improving economies and societies around the world.

Fleetwood began producing covers in 1941. Mystic bought the company in 2007 and is proud to continue its tradition of excellence today. All Fleetwood First Day Covers issued after March 10, 1976, feature interesting information about the stamp subject on the back. These covers are cancelled with either a "killer bar" (a heavy black four-bar cancel) or a black and white pictorial, if offered.
