Get a complete set of 50 Greetings From America Combination Covers. The April 4, 2002 release marked the first time a U.S. postage stamp was issued on the same day in every state. The 34¢ stamp features a first day of issue cancel from the capital of the state. When the postage rate was increased to 37¢, the stamps were reissued. This stamp on the cover shows a New York cancel from Oct. 25, 2002.

The Greetings from America stamps are reminiscent of the large-letter greetings postcards that vacationing tourists of the 1930s and 1940s sent back home.  In addition to the state name, each stamp contains images identified with that state.

Each cover features an image of a tourist postcard and the state flag. The narrative on the back gives the state’s history and lists the state bird, flower, tree, capital, and date of statehood.
