History the stamp represents: Snoopy is Charlie Brown’s dog and everyone’s favorite beagle. A legend in his own mind, Snoopy can take to the skies as the World War I Flying Ace. He rules the college campus as Joe Cool, or can write another unpublished manuscript as the World Famous Author. No matter where his imagination takes him, Snoopy always comes back to his doghouse for a home-cooked meal from that “round-headed kid.”
Like most dogs, Snoopy’s core motivation is often to get a good night’s (or day’s) sleep and get fed right on time. Snoopy enjoys living it up in his numerous “World-Famous” personas. However, things usually don’t work out for him. But he always has his feathered best friend, Woodstock, by his side. Woodstock joins in Snoopy’s fantasies and considers him his “friend of friends.” They also go on actual adventures as Snoopy’s Beagle Scouts.
Though Snoopy refers to Charlie Brown as “that round-headed kid,” he does in fact love him, and knows he would be lost without him. Snoopy can’t help but cause trouble around the neighborhood. He loves to steal Linus’s blanket and drives Lucy crazy every time he tries to kiss her.
Snoopy’s humorous fantasies and silly antics keep things interesting around the neighborhood. As he once said, “I think it’s a sin to be bored.”
