In 2007, the U.S. Postal Service issued a sheet of 15 stamps on a movie poster-like souvenir sheet to commemorate the blockbuster film, Star Wars.

 

With his loyal apprentice Darth Vader at his side, ruthless Emperor Palpatine rules the galaxy without concern for his subjects. Vader, once an ambitious but troubled Jedi, is one of the unfortunate many to fall for the Emperor's lies and false promises.

 

Before turning to the Dark Side of the Force, Vader studied to become a Jedi Knight under the great Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
