Hiro Kimura painted the agricultural scene which appears on this stamp issue. The non-denominated version of the same design was first seen on the 2000 rate change stamps. Kimura also created the illustrations which were used on the City Flag and Classroom Flag stamps, both issued in 1999. The “Flag Over Farm” stamp continues the popular stamp tradition celebrating the Stars and Stripes.
