The ring-necked pheasant is featured on three formats of 20¢ self-adhesive stamps. It was pictured in two 1998 self-adhesive formats, convertible booklet and the coil stamp shown here. In 1999, a self-adhesive ten-stamp booklet version was made available.
Originally found in Central Asia, the Romans brought ring-necked pheasants to Europe about 2,000 years ago. They are now common in North America as well.
