About the printing process:  The basic design for this stamp was printed by offset, while the “USA” and denomination were added with the intaglio process.

First Day City:  The First Day of Issue ceremony for the Pumpkinseed Sunfish stamp took place at the National Aquarium in Washington, DC.  The stamp design had been revealed at the same location over a year before the stamp was released.
