Own the 1968-71 Regular Issue Stamps –
Set Includes First Multicolored Coil

The 1968-71 Flag and White House stamps were redesigned from a similar stamp issued in 1963.  These were the first stamp sheets to carry both the “Mail Early in the Day” and “Use Zip Code” slogans in the margins.  Produced using various perforations, this stamp was printed in 6¢ and 8¢ denominations.  Included in the set is U.S. #1338G – the first multicolored coil.

Also part of the set is the $1 Airlift for Our Servicemen stamp.  Initially used for parcels being mailed to servicemen in Vietnam, this stamp was later valid for any overseas mail.  The design was inspired by a 19th century woodcarving and pictures America’s national bird, the bald eagle.  Although not specifically stated on the stamp, this issue could only be used for airmail.

Add these six neat patriotic stamps to your collection today.
