Do You Have All the Prominent Americans Stamps?

The first stamps in the Prominent Americans series were issued in 1965 to replace the outdated Liberty Series stamps.  The new series was issued to honor significant Americans from all walks of life.  Unlike previous series, the Prominent Americans feature different styles by 13 different designers.  At the time, stamp collectors complained because the stamps didn’t match. 

Some honorees in the Prominent Americans include Presidents Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Franklin Roosevelt, Andrew Jackson and John F. Kennedy.  Other subjects include architect Frank Lloyd Wright, scientist Albert Einstein, businessman Henry Ford and abolitionist Frederick Douglass.  This history belongs in your collection – get it today.
